Troubleshooting



Problem Solution
When I try to install Switch Acessible Boombox,
I receive the error:
The application failed to install because
MSVCR71.DLL (or MSVCP71.DLL) was not found.

Cause: The folder C:\Windows\System32 is missing 1 or 2 important files
Solution: the link below will copy the missing files to the C:\Windows\System32 folder
This should be done prior to reinstalling Switch Accessible Boombox
Answer "No" if it asks you if you want to overwrite any files.

1) Click on Install Missing Files
2) Click on "Run"
3) If you get a secutiry warning, Click on "Run" again
4) Click on "UNZIP"
5) Reinstall Switch Accessible Boombox again from the CD
When I run Animated Toys II,
I receive the error:
toys.exe is not a valid win32 application
This happens because you are trying to install a version of Animated Toys that is not
compatible with your 64 bit computer.

If your CD has on it Version 1.0.8, please mail the CD for a free upgrade to:
Judy Lynn Software, Inc.
P.O. Box 373
East Brunswick, NJ 08816

Put a note requesting the newer version and provide
a postal address where the send the free upgrade CD.
Issue #1) When I run In Sequence - Daily living Skills
or In Sequence - Illustrated Stories,
and the "Step Scanning option with 2 switches" is selected,
the program freezes when I click on
the "Back to Task Selection Menu"


Issue #2) When I run In Sequence - Daily living Skills
or In Sequence - Illustrated Stories,
I can't add an AVI file using Task Maker.
For In Sequence - Daily Living Skills
Four files need to be updated.
To install these files, follow these instructions:
1) Click on Install Files  
2) Click the "Open" button
3) Modify if needed, the name of the folder that In Sequence - Daily Living Skills was
     installed in, the default directory is C:\Program Files\In_Sequence_Daily_Living
4) Click Unzip
5) Click OK to confirm that 4 files have been unzipped
6) Click Close


For In Sequence - Illustrated Stories
Four files need to be updated.
To install these files, follow these instructions:
1) Click on Install Files  
2) Click the "Open" button
3) Modify if needed, the name of the folder that In Sequence - Daily Living Skills was
     installed in, the default directory is C:\Program Files\In_Sequence_Illustrated_Stories
4) Click Unzip
5) Click OK to confirm that 4 files have been unzipped
6) Click Close

When I run Cause & Effect Cinema,
I receive the error:
Run Time Error 53 File Not Found
c:\jls501\SWIMMING.jpg


There was a problem with our CD Duplication
of Cause & Effect Cinema where 6 files were not installed.

To install these files, follow these instructions:
1) Click on Install Files  
2) Click the "Open" button
3) Enter the Directory (Folder) that Cinema was
     installed in, the default directory is c:\jls501
4) Click Unzip
5) Click OK to confirm that 6 files have been unzipped
6) Click Close

When I run Cause & Effect Cinema,
I hear the sound of the movie clip
but the picture is black or the movie
doesn't play at all.


We have found some incompatibilities with our
movie player on certain computers.

We have provided a version of Cause & Effect Cinema
to download that will use MicroSoft's movie player
instead of the one that Cause & Effect Cinema
currently uses.

To download this version, follow these instructions:
1) Click on cinema.exe
2) Click on Save this program to disk
3) Save it in the directory that Cause & Effect Cinema was
installed in, the default directory is c:\jls501
4) When in asks you if you want to replace the cinema.exe
that is there already, click "yes"
5) Run Cause & Effect Cinema and see if it works
How do I run Judy Lynn Software
programs with a switch
using the Don Johnston Interface
1) Plug your switch into hole #4 of the Don Johnston Interface
2) Press the Num Locks key (This will emulate pressing the space bar)
3) In the Judy Lynn Software programs, select keyboard space bar
as the input device.
